Together, we are giving away a backyard movie night package to one lucky local winner, complete with a premium snack package from our food store.

What You Can Win
The grand prize package includes absolutely everything you need for a premium, hassle-free cinema party at your home: The Big Screen Experience: A professional-grade outdoor movie screen setup (10 feet or 33 feet, depending on your yard size) along with high-definition projection and sound systems provided, installed, and taken down by Prairie Screen Entertainment. The Ultimate Co-op Snack Package: A fully loaded basket of signature summer treats, premium popcorn, drinks, and chips hand-selected by our Sun Valley Co-op Food Store team to keep your guests fueled.

How to Enter
Entering is simple! Shop In-Store: Visit our Sun Valley Co-op Food Store in Altona between August 6 and August 12. Receive an official contest entry ballot automatically at checkout with your transaction. Drop to Win: Fill out your details and slide your ballot into the entry box at our customer service desk!

No purchase necessary
We’ve got you covered. Community members can alternatively enter by dropping off a hand-written, 50-word essay explaining "Why I love community movie nights" to our customer service desk before store closing on August 12.

The Fine Print
To ensure everything runs smoothly for our lucky winner and our partners at Prairie Screen Entertainment, a few standard rules apply:

Where We Setup: The prize includes full equipment setup and teardown within a 50km radius of Altona. (Winners living outside this boundary may be subject to a standard mileage fee from the screen company).

Keep it Private: The event is strictly limited to a private, non-commercial guest list at the winner's residential property. Public advertising or charging admission is not permitted.

Pick Your Date: The movie night must be fully redeemed before September 30, 2026, and scheduling is subject to availability.

Weather Watch: In the case of high winds or rain, the screen team will work with you to a clear-weather date.
Family Friendly: The selected movie must be family-friendly and approved at least 24 hours in advance by the projection crew.

The contest runs strictly from August 6 to August 12, and the official draw will take place on August 14. Stop by the Altona Food Store, grab your summer essentials, and get your name in the draw.
